Ryan Giggs ended his 16 years career with his 64th international with a standing ovation.
Wales drew 0-0 with Czech Republic for the 2008 European Championship qualifying round at the Millennium Stadium. The result saw the Czech Republic go top of the table by one point from Germany, who have two games in hand, but left Wales in fifth place, their hopes of reaching the European Championships all but extinguished.
The Wales captain waved and applauded all sides of the stadium and gave the armband to Bellamy as a new era started.
