SHE'S FREE
Mum finally offically retired. Exactly this year is her 30th year service with HDB. I thought that she should retired when she reached her retirement age instead of extending. I'm glad that at last she can now rest, relax and enjoy her life with no worries. Furthermore all her 3 daughters are grown up, 2 already married with kids and left the youngest one joinning them pretty soon and with the payment of the house already completed. Don't get me wrong, doesn't mean my mum working for HDB,we get the house for free! How I wish! Dad will be joinning my Mum soon after serving MOE for 40 years. For him, no more extending, he had reached the maximum age of working. I treat them as an example, full time working parents, balancing their time to take care of their 3 kids. There were times when we didn't get to meet them with Mum either in morning or afternoon shift and Dad totally occupied with his job and his never ending meetings, dinners and overseas trips. Alhamdulillah, we are well-provided by them. Dad had performed his haj sometimes 9 years ago and this time,Insyaallah, Mum will be performing her pilgrim this coming January. Praying hard that everything will run smoothly for her.
